Biography

I was born in Peru, when I was a kid, I sometimes accompanied my mother to her painting classes and was impressed how as a blank canvas was transformed into a beautiful work of art. I grew then to admire everything related to the fine arts. Always I had illusions of taking sculpture classes but for some reason I never did it. Over the years I worked as a cake decorator, making cakes for weddings or important events and always flattered me when my clients would tell me; they had to cut the cakes with sadness because of how they were beautifully decorated. !

A few years ago I immigrated to the U.S. and discovered the world of Polymer clay dolls, and was fascinated, I immediately ventured to try making my own, it was very frustrating at first because I knew almost nothing of this, and had never made faces without the aid of molds. In the beginning and for some months I only came out with ugly critters, but I was determined and told myself every day that I could succeed. Then with the aid of some books and tutorials to show me the direction, and a lot of patience and practice each day, some pretty faces began to emerge. I continually learn and look each day to learn something new. All my dolls are One of a Kind, when I begin a new doll, I never know how it will be finished. I start with an idea in my head, but it can be transformed , just let my hands work and my imagination fly and look forward to seeing always turning out uniquely different. Then I eagerly look forward to seeing where in the world these little beings will go!
